7．定光庵
古寺定光庵是晋江市文物保护单位，据传始建于唐至德年间，距今已有1200多年，经历代重修，1988年再次重修。宫庙坐东北朝西南，由外埕、门厅、钟鼓楼、庑廊、前殿、后殿、厢房组成，建筑面积500平方米，保存了清代建筑风格，寺内大钟由施琅复台后捐造。定光庵供奉三世尊佛和观音菩萨。传说施琅幼年到寺内朝拜，先知先觉的伽蓝菩萨觉得承受不起将来拜将封侯的大贵人，竟站起身答礼。神奇的传说生动感人。定光庵历来香火鼎盛，闻名于晋江石狮。
Dingguang Nunnery is a cultural relic site under protection of Jinjiang city. It is said to be built in the reign of Zhide of the Tang Dynasty and has a history of over 1200 years. It has been renovated through past dynasties and was renovated again in 1988. The nunnery faces north-east and north-west and consists of outdoor yard, entrance hall, bell tower and drum tower, porch, front hall and back rear hall and wing-rooms with a floor space of 500 square meters. It keeps the style of architecture of the Qing Dynasty. The large bell was donated by Shi Lang after he recovered Taiwan. The nunnery presents offerings to three statues of Buddha and Avalokitesvara. It is said that when young Shi Lang went to the nunnery to pay respects to the Buddha, the unusually enlightened Bodhisattva of sam!gha^ra^ma stood up to bow in return as he thought he couldn’t bear to accept the respects by the noble man who would be a general and duke in the future. The legend is vivid and touching. Dingguang Nunnery has been being worshipped widely and well known in Jinjiang and Shishi. |
